Description

The conference is devoted to a survey and discussion of new results in multivariate approximation and discretization for better understanding of approaches to solutions of both old problems in approximation theory and problems in really high dimensions, where classical multivariate approximation machinery does not work. Special attention will be paid to the following topics: approximation in smooth function spaces, hyperbolic cross approximation, orthogonal series, Banach spaces, compressed sensing. The participation of leading Russian and foreign scientists, as well as young researchers and graduate students is expected.
